Wishing You a Happy Holiday!

All of us here at Atlanta web design company Darwin Studios would like to wish you a safe and happy holiday season!  I am excited for this time of year as I have two small children.  There is nothing more rewarding than watching how happy our kids are when they discover Santa has come and left them gifts (and eaten the cookies we left for him!).

This year will also be fun because we will be mixing in some Danish traditions with our Christmas celebration.  One of these includes a game we play with our special desert.  The dessert is called Ris ala Mande, or simply Rice Pudding in English.  This is a very light and sweet dessert made from rice, sugar and whipped cream.  The game works like this:   Each person is served their rice pudding (sometimes with a cherry sauce if you prefer).  In the bottom of the cup of one lucky person there is a single skinned almond.  The person who receives this (chosen randomly) wins a prize!  In Danish tradition, the winner gets a marzipan pig!  If you have never had marzipan before it taste real good!  It is made from almond paste and is very sweet.  Lots of Danish dessert originate from marzipan.
